Kate Walsh
President and CEO, Boston Medical Center
Boston Medical Center was ground zero for COVID-19 cases in the region, seeing 7 out of 10 admitted patients in the spring. Walsh kept BMC at the forefront of the national response, including having the hospital serve as a site for Pfizer’s vaccine trials. She led efforts to launch Project REACH, which helped get critical pediatric vaccines, as well as food and cleaning supplies, to families that were quarantining in their homes. She is a long-time supporter of gender equity; five of the 11 executives on her leadership team are women.
