Dr. Susan Turney
Marshfield Clinic Health System
A leading voice for rural providers, Turney played a pivotal role on the policy front advocating for rural hospitals in Wisconsin and Washington, D.C., during the pandemic. She also led public-private initiatives on COVID-19 testing in the state. Nationally, she brought together a group of rural health system executives to engage with senior staffers at the White House and HHS about the pandemic. The health system also kept to a growth strategy through two acquisitions and the opening of new hospital. Turney is a founding member of Carol Emmott Foundation’s Equity Collaborative.
