Bold Goal is one of the insurer’s efforts aimed at addressing health equity and social determinants of health. Under Renda’s leadership, Humana collaborates with not-for-profits, businesses, government agencies and others to identify and tackle root causes of poor health. He’s been a key player in helping Humana conduct more than 10 million SDOH screenings over the last three years, including 6 million in 2020. He also spearheads an effort to create robust SDOH datasets, including standardizing data that’s integrated across Humana. Renda played a leading role in Humana’s partnerships with Feeding America and Meals on Wheels, as well as programs to address isolation, which included getting medications and food to Humana members.
