After being named CEO at the beginning of 2020, Aloth was immediately put to the test with the pandemic, having to enter a Medicaid contract rebidding process in the Washington, D.C., market, as well as integrating his former insurer, Trusted Health Plan, following a merger. During the pandemic, he quickly shifted resources to ensure that members could access telehealth services. He also authorized COVID-19 care packages for members, which included face masks and hand sanitizers, and working with Aramark to get hundreds of boxed lunches delivered weekly to community partners that serve homeless populations.
