Kuriakose has been a key figure in ensuring that advanced practice professionals can work to the top of their license at Stanford. Following a 2017 wellness survey showing high burnout among APPs, she led efforts to develop a long-term quality improvement plan and partnered with executives from across the health system and built a business case for key changes.  She also spurred the system to launch a professional development program to help APPs advance their careers. By 2020, there was a 10% drop in APPs reporting burnout, an 11% decrease in those saying they’d leave the profession and a 25% increase in professional fulfillment.
