Welch joined the large Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly—PACE—organization in 2019 and took on oversight of medical, dental and pharmacy teams. Before joining InnovAge, she was chief medical officer for the Center for Elders’ Independence, a PACE program in the San Francisco area. She has a long history of bringing care to underserved communities, including leading and expanding integrated care efforts to uninsured and Medicaid populations while at Community Health Network in San Francisco. Under her leadership, InnovAge has seen hospital admissions and emergency department visits for low- to medium-severity issues drop. Welch serves as a mentor and strives to make diversity, equity and inclusion a focal point for the leadership team.
