Top Diversity Leaders in Healthcare - 2021

Larkins-Pettigrew joined AHN in December 2020, coming from University Hospitals/Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland, where she was a professor of obstetrics and gynecology, chair of clinical diversity and inclusion and assistant dean of students. She didn’t waste time making her impact felt at AHN. She connected with underserved communities to try and build trust with the health system, including meeting with the African American Chamber of Commerce, Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Asian community leaders, disability communities, religious leaders, and other targeted cohorts. She ensured that at least 15% of COVID-19 vaccines were directed toward minority and underserved populations.
