Dr. Bechara Choucair
Former vaccinations coordinator, Biden administration
Choucair’s most recent role was likely among his most challenging, leading the Biden administration’s efforts to get millions of Americans vaccinated against COVID-19. He was tapped by then President-elect Joe Biden in December 2020. A key part of his role was ensuring the equitable distribution of vaccines and coordinating efforts between federal, state and local leaders. Prior to joining the administration, Choucair launched and spearheaded a number of innovative population health and care-equity initiatives at Kaiser Permanente, where he served as senior vice president and chief community health officer
