Tim Cook
CEO, Apple
From reports of saving someone’s life through Apple Watch features to increasingly becoming a trusted partner in healthcare, Apple had a stellar 2021.
Before being named CEO, as Apple’s chief operating officer he led sales, operations and supply chain. As head of Apple’s Macintosh division, he strengthened reseller and supplier relationships. Before coming to Apple, Cook was VP of corporate materials for Compaq and COO of the reseller division at Intelligent Electronics. He also spent 12 years with IBM where he spearheaded the manufacturing and distribution of personal computers. Cook holds an MBA from Duke University.
Cook speaks: “I believe, if you zoom out into the future, and you look back, and you ask the question, ‘What was Apple’s greatest contribution to mankind?’ It will be about health. We are taking what has been with the institution and empowering the individual to manage their health. And we’re just at the front end of this.”
