Salka leads the largest healthcare staffing company in the U.S. Before becoming CEO, Salka held chief financial officer, chief operating officer and business development positions at AMN. She serves on the finance and audit committees of McKesson’s board, having previously served on the boards of Playtex Products and Beckman Coulter.

Salka speaks: “We have a lot of things driving our industry, certainly starting with an aging population, which drives utilization of healthcare. But it also creates shortages within the healthcare workforce. We have really severe shortages within nursing, physician, allied, and even within leadership. So we’re really seeing those two things come together right at the worst time, probably, for healthcare.”
