President and CEO,
America's Health Insurance Plans
Insurance lobbying group AHIP refreshed its brand to reflect a changing industry increasingly focused on merging provider, tech and payment services this year, and led the charge defending Medicare Advantage from cuts in Congress.
Eyles joined AHIP in 2016 to lead policy and regulatory affairs, eventually becoming chief operating officer. His 20 years of private sector healthcare experience includes work with Fortune 200 companies on policy, government affairs, advocacy and communications. He held senior executive positions with Coventry Healthcare, which is part of CVS Health/Aetna, and Wyeth, a subsidiary of Pfizer. Eyles worked with Avalere Health after launching his career at the Congressional Budget Office.
Eyles speaks: “Technology that had limited use in the past is now commonplace. It’s about the consumer’s desire and expectation for simplicity, transparency, and access. And it’s about developing opportunities to improve affordability. As an industry, it’s our job to help drive positive change for the patient and the consumer.”
