As one of the largest providers of telehealth services, Teladoc, reported 10.6 million virtual visits this year and grew paid membership from from 36.7 million users to 51.8 million in 2020.
Prior to joining the company and leading its largest growth period, Gorevic was chief sales and marketing officer of Empire BlueCross BlueShield, which he led under WellPoint—now Anthem. After the company acquired Lumenos, Gorevic, as president, drove adoption of consumer-directed health plans. He earlier served as senior vice president of Mail.com, eventually taking the company public.
Gorevic speaks: “If consumers embrace virtual care as their entry point into the system, we can have the best course of action from the beginning, as opposed to catching them downstream after they’ve wandered through without getting better over a long period of time.”
