Dr. Vivian Lee
President of health platforms, Verily Life Sciences
After the dismantling of Google Health, Verily is looking to sever ties with its parent company as it seeks to expand its research and development. Lee has led Verily since 2018 and previously led University of Utah Health. Elected to the National Academy of Medicine, she is a radiologist who developed new methods for measuring kidney function and vascular disease. She has served on boards of the Commonwealth Fund, Massachusetts General Hospital, University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, and Institute for Healthcare Improvement.
Lee speaks: “What we value is better health outcomes, access for the population, resource efficiency, meaning lower costs, and we need to be rewarding and paying systems and companies and businesses for delivering that.”
