Dr. David Rhew
Chief medical officer and vice president of healthcare, Microsoft
CVS Health in December announced it was partnering with Microsoft to move over 1,500 of its business applications to the Azure cloud.
Rhew serves Microsoft’s worldwide commercial business as chief medical officer and vice president of healthcare. Rhew led Samsung’s healthcare initiatives as CMO and vice president for enterprise healthcare. An adjunct professor at Stanford University School of Medicine, Rhew holds six U.S. patients related to clinical decision support, interoperability and data integration in electronic health record systems.
Dr. Rhew speaks: “I’ve seen a lot of things that have changed, and some things that haven’t. Technology has allowed us to pool information together, draw insights and become more proactive. But what hasn’t changed is that there are patients, and then there are doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and others who care about them.”
