Dr. Anthony Fauci

Fauci heads the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and serves as chief of the Laboratory of Immunoregulation at NIAID. In 2021, he took center stage as the Biden administration’s top expert on the COVID-19 pandemic. He oversees research on the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of new and emerging infectious diseases like HIV/AIDS, Ebola, Zika as well as long-standing diseases like tuberculosis and malaria. Fauci has advised multiple U.S. presidents on domestic and global health crises, including HIV/AIDS and COVID-19.
