Grant is serving his second term as president of the influential nurses’ group. He’s the third African-American and first male to hold the position. Throughout the pandemic, he’s been a forceful voice in ensuring that nurses and other front-line workers were being heard, especially when it came to adequate supplies of personal protective equipment and other worker safety issues. And after experiencing no major side effects, he continues to use his platform to address vaccine hesitancy.
