Todd Goldstein,
34
Director, 3D design and innovation, Northwell Health
When COVID-19 hit, Goldstein and his team responded, partnering with University of South Florida, Formlabs and Tampa General Hospital to create 3D printed nasal swabs to test patients. At one point they were making 1,000 to 1,500 swabs per day. They also converted airway pressure machines into ventilators. Before COVID, Goldstein oversaw such unique 3D printing projects as “the fin,” an amphibious prosthetic leg allowing patients to go from land to water.
