Meghan Agnew,
34
Interim chief financial officer and associate CFO, Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians at Beth Israel
Before moving into her role as interim CFO in December 2019, Agnew was making a mark for herself, including identifying $34 million in savings over two years while serving as director of finance at Boston Medical Center. Three months after jumping into the role at HMFP, the COVID-19 pandemic swept across the U.S. Still, Agnew pursued strategies to root out inefficiencies and waste, as well as putting a new budgeting system in place giving stakeholders real-time results. She also managed the transition to telehealth, including establishing new billing procedures with all payers.
