Tyra has spearheaded a strategic plan to grow in north Texas, especially the need to expand the system’s Plano campus, which lacked specialties and dedicated physicians. The north Texas market makes up 33% of patient encounters, but 73% of operating revenue. Her strategy to build up physician services has paid off, including developing more than 30 specialties at Plano and adding 10% more providers. There’s been a 7% drop in in-network transfers from Plano to Dallas and a 19% increase in daily census.
