Wilson oversaw expansion of HopkinsLocal, which spurs economic growth in Baltimore, especially with local minority- and women-owned businesses. Through her efforts, Johns Hopkins boosted spending with city vendors by $29 million over three years. In 2020, Johns Hopkins pledged to assign at least $75 million of its endowment to be managed by a minority-owned firm.
