Freeman took over as CEO of NACCHO in May 2018. Previously, she was CEO of the Association of Maternal & Child Health Programs. Throughout the coronavirus pandemic, she’s at the forefront of calling attention to the needs of local public health departments and for greater coordination between various levels of government. NACCHO joined the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Project Firstline program, a $180 million effort aimed at using infection prevention protocols to help stop the spread of infections in healthcare settings.
