Jo Ann Jenkins
CEO, AARP
Jenkins has led the powerful non-profit since 2014; the group boasts more than 38 million members. During her tenure, AARP has become more active in advocating for social change on healthcare, the economy and more. “We fight against ageism, racism and gender inequality because we believe all people should be empowered to choose how they live as they age,” she wrote in an October commentary on the World Economic Forum’s website. She said the pandemic has forced leaders to “not only to address immediate needs but also to think about the longer-term solutions that will help us all live and age better in the future.”
