Dr. Roy Schoenberg
President and CEO, Amwell
For many years, Schoenberg said during the virtual HLTH conference in the fall, telehealth has been trying to “imitate” what already existed. “Now, we have an opportunity to actually go forward." Schoenberg led efforts to take the company ublic in September with a $100 million investment from Google. It posted $62.6 million in revenue for this year's third quarter, the first earnings release since going public, an 80% year-over-year growth from the same period last year. Amwell's visits surpassed 1.4 million in Q3, up 454.5% year-over-year from 255,000. Despite the gains, Amwell, like rival Teladoc, has yet to turn a profit.
