Klibanski has led Mass General Brigham, formerly known as Partners HealthCare, since June 2019, following an interim appointment. She is the organization’s first female CEO. Before being named to the interim position, she served as Partners’ chief academic officer, a role she held since 2012. Klibanski had oversight responsibilities spanning research, teaching and other activities and led multiple system-wide efforts aimed at clinical and educational collaboration and a research enterprise of more than $1.8 billion annually.
