President and CEO,
Walsh has led the Bloomington, Minn.-based health system for three years, even as it meant taking a personal financial hit to help weather COVID-19. HealthPartners furloughed 10% of its workforce in April and Walsh took a 40% pay cut to manage the pandemic’s effect on its finances. The health system closed seven clinics and two clinics due to COVID-19. Its insurance arm is fully covering COVID-19 testing and treatment as well as $40 million in premium credits to its employer and individual customers as it saw fewer claims.
