Dr. Steven Corwin
President and CEO, New York-Presbyterian
During the early stages of the coronavirus outbreak, Corwin made the decision to ramp up the health system’s ICU capacity. That proved fortuitous as New York City quickly became the epicenter of the pandemic. New York-Presbyterian built out other parts of its infrastructure, including increasing lab capacity. Prior to COVID-19 becoming all-consuming, Corwin continued to advance other initiatives to reshape care delivery, including building on an effort that reduced maternal mortality rates.
