Dr. Stephen Hahn
Commissioner, Food and Drug Administration
Hahn was sworn in as the 24th FDA commissioner on Dec. 17, 2019. Prior to that, he served as chief medical executive at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. During his confirmation hearings, Hahn pledged to work with Congress on efforts to combat drug shortages and high prices. He has played a key role on the administration’s Coronavirus Task Force. The FDA granted emergency authorization for testing devices and accelerated the timeline for potential vaccines.
