Nevin was a vocal supporter of Delaware Gov. John Carney’s stay-at-home orders to mitigate spread of the coronavirus. The system was also an early partner in setting up testing sites, with the first event happening on March 14.  And it was one of the first systems in the nation to get a Federal Communication Commission grant to expand COVID-19 telehealth services to underserved populations. As the pandemic was unfolding, the system in May was still able to open a new center for women and children’s health.
