Dr. Redonda Miller
President, Johns Hopkins Hospital
Miller became president of the Baltimore hospital in 2016. Since then she has orchestrated creation of care-coordination bundles, worked with the chief medical officer to significantly reduce prescribing of opioids and increase prescribing of naloxone, overseen the launch of a high-value care committee, and advanced policies to bolster employee engagement and patient satisfaction. She also retooled the executive ranks, including promoting more gender diversity--her 12-member leadership team includes seven women.
