Tahir is responsible for a lot of firsts at the Tennessee hospitals, including working with a large insurer and orthopedic surgery group to launch the St. Thomas Joint Replacement Institute. He also ushered in the first total artificial heart program in Tennessee. And he partnered with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Tennessee to implement a population health management program for Medicaid members and other vulnerable populations.
