Early in his career, while at the University of California at San Francisco, Moriates built a curriculum that taught medical students about costs and value. He continued that at Dell Medical School, creating the Discovering Value-Based Health Care online learning platform. Moriates also helped Dell and its affiliated teaching hospitals create a multidisciplinary care model to improve treatment for people with opioid use disorder.
