Dredge is responsible for several short- and long-term priorities, including strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, affiliations, and patient and physician satisfaction. His work stretches across the four states in which SSM operates. Among Dredge’s accomplishments are building the health system’s strategy around the CMS’ value-based payment programs, including the Bundled Payments for Care Improvement-Advanced and Comprehensive Kidney Care Contracting models, and primary care. He also oversees SSM’s direct-to-employer joint ventures. This model is being used to reimagine how primary care is delivered. Dredge has been responsible for significant expansion of SSM’s telehealth services as well. Nationally, Dredge was one of SSM’s key figures in the launch of Civica Rx, the generic-drug company of which SSM is a founding member.
