Woods passion to provide healthcare access and coverage led Atrium to expand into rural North Carolina. Under his leadership Atrium partnered with Navicent Health last year.  In April, Atrium announced it will merge with Wake Forest Baptist Health and Wake Forest University to form an academic healthcare system in North Carolina. The agreement is in the works and expected to be completed early next year.
