Since leading NYU Langone Health in 2007, Grossman has increased the revenue from $2 billion to almost $10 billion. The NYU medical school was recently renamed to NYU Grossman School of Medicine. Grossman’s decision last year to make the medical school tuition-free for current and future students has made other medical schools follow similar plans. In October, he told Modern Healthcare that he would like to see a broader national conversation about the debt load facing future physicians.
