Medows oversees population health strategies across one of the nation’s largest networks of hospitals and providers serving patients in seven states. Over the past year, she was especially vocal about the health system’s need to develop population health strategies for vulnerable Medicare and Medicaid populations. She led quality improvement efforts that helped Providence’s Medicare Advantage plan earn a five-star rating from the CMS. And while speaking at the U.S. News & World Report Healthcare of Tomorrow Conference in Washington, D.C., Medows challenged her colleagues to consider how alternative payment models will affect vulnerable populations.
