Solazzo has been executive vice president and COO of Northwell Health since 2005. He oversees the health system's 23 hospitals, 650-plus ambulatory sites, a medical group of nearly 4,000 physicians and 70 clinical and nonclinical joint ventures. Under Solazzo's tenure the organization has experienced revenue growth at a rate of 10% per year. Before being named COO, Solazzo served as chief of staff and chief administrative officer to Northwell CEO Michael Dowling. Previously, Solazzo held a number of senior-level positions within the New York Department of Social Services over his 15-year tenure there.
