Forese has been executive vice president and COO of New York-Presbyterian since 2015. The system includes 10 hospitals with some 4,000 beds, more than 45,000 employees and $8 billion in revenue. Forese helped navigate the 2016 acquisition of what is now New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, among other growth moves. Forese began her career at Helen Hayes Hospital in West Haverstraw, N.Y. She worked at Columbia University ultimately as vice chair of the orthopedic surgery department until she joined New York-Presbyterian Hospital in 2003 as vice president of medical affairs. She is chair of the National Institutes of Health's Clinical Center board and serves as a trustee at Princeton University.
