Tang, the former chief technology and innovation officer at the Palo Alto Medical Foundation/Sutter Health, joined IBM Watson in May 2016. He's leading efforts at IBM Watson to use artificial intelligence to drive personalized medicine. From 2009 to 2017, he served as co-chair of the federal Health Information Technology Policy Committee, which advises HHS. He is a member of the National Academy of Medicine.
