Sanofi sales took a hit this year due to the loss of patent protection on diabetes drugs. Nonetheless, Brandicourt in an earnings call said he expects the company to enter a "new growth phase" in the second half of the year. The company is eyeing growth in new areas, including treatment for cancers and eczema.
