Serving as chair of the American Hospital Association board for 2018, Agee is leading an effort across the association to address healthcare affordability and innovation. This fall, the AHA will launch a new innovation center, which Agee said will help spread best practices as hospitals try to shift to a value-based mentality. In her home state of Virginia, Agee was actively involved in pushing for Medicaid expansion, which was approved earlier this year.
