The system partnered with Emerus to open micro-hospitals in Nevada and is working with GoHealth Urgent Care in San Francisco to offer patients more convenient care settings. If Dignity's proposed merger with Catholic Health Initiatives goes through, he'll be co-CEO of a system with 139 hospitals, more than 159,000 employees and 25,000 physicians and other advanced-practice clinicians. Combined revenue would total more than $28 billion.
