Turkal and Jim Skogsbergh, two long-time Midwestern executives, came together to form Advocate Aurora Health, the nation's 10th-largest not-for-profit system. As co-CEOs, they'll oversee an operation that serves nearly 3 million patients across 27 hospitals, 500 outpatient locations and 63 Walgreen's clinics. Skogsbergh served as CEO of suburban Chicago-based Advocate Health Care for 16 years before the merger. Turkal held the top job at Milwaukee-based Aurora Health Care for 11 years.
