Jobe took over as Vizient CEO in April 2018. He first joined Vizient, then named VHA, in 1994 to tackle corporate planning and business development and left in 1999 to work in the healthcare technology sector for companies including PricewaterhouseCoopers, Baylor Scott & White and Healthvision. He returned to the company in 2007 and helped guide it through the 2016 acquisition of MedAssets' spend and clinical resource management businesses.
