Essentia Health is an integrated health system serving patients in Minnesota, Wisconsin, North Dakota and Idaho. The system's website needed an overhaul to more appropriately help patients navigate its sites of care. The ultimate goals were to improve the patient experience and increase primary-care volume. Patient literacy was also an important factor. The new site went live in May 2018. Essentia had 29 appointment requests made via the new website just on the first day. Essentia has maintained roughly 54% of its traffic from organic search.
