Tejal Gandhi
President/CEO, National Patient Safety Foundation
Gandhi has been president and CEO of the National Patient Safety Foundation since 2013. A prominent advocate for quality improvement in healthcare delivery, Gandhi has focused her research interests on establishing patient-safety programs and using information technology to reduce medical errors. Gandhi was formerly executive director of quality and safety at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston and chief quality and safety officer at the hospital's parent, Partners HealthCare System. In each of those roles, she led efforts to standardize and implement patient safety best practices across the organization. Board-certified in internal medicine, Gandhi also holds an appointment as associate professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School.
