Karen Lynch

In 2015, Lynch became president of Aetna, the first woman to serve in that role in the company's 160-year history. She has strategic oversight of the insurer's commercial, government and specialty businesses, which represent 95% of Aetna's revenue. Lynch joined Aetna in 2012 as executive vice president and head of specialty products. In 2013, she assumed management of local and regional businesses and successfully led Aetna's integration efforts involving its acquisition of Coventry Health Care. Before joining Aetna, Lynch held executive positions at Cigna and served as president at Magellan Health Services, a managed-care company with a focus on behavioral health services.
