DiSanzo is general manager for IBM Watson Health, the business unit founded to support IBM's goal of advancing health on a global scale through data-driven solutions and artificial intelligence. In this role, DiSanzo leads more than 2,000 IBM employees worldwide with a mandate to scale the business globally. While CEO at Philips Healthcare, she was a pioneer in adopting other healthcare-related technologies, specifically the field of automated external defibrillators (AEDs), and was instrumental in introducing the first AED designed specifically for use in public spaces to resuscitate a person suffering from sudden cardiac arrest. She also previously held management positions at Hewlett-Packard Co. and Apollo Computer.
