Beverly Malone
CEO, National League for Nursing
Malone has been CEO of the National League for Nursing since 2007. The organization is one of the largest nursing membership organizations, representing nursing faculty, schools of nursing and nursing leaders, with more than 40,000 individuals and 1,200 institutional members. During her long career in healthcare, Malone has worked in a variety of positions, including policy, education, administration and clinical practice. During the 1980s, she was dean of the School of Nursing at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. In 2000, she became deputy assistant secretary for heath at HHS after serving four years on President Bill Clinton's Advisory Commission on Consumer Protection and Quality in the Health Care Industry.
