Santulli has served as executive vice president and COO at Advocate Health Care, Illinois' largest health system, since 2003. He is responsible for a $6.4 billion operating budget and provides direction to all Advocate operations, including 12 acute-care hospitals, home health services and a large medical group. Before being named COO of the system, he served as chief executive at Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove for two years. Previously he was COO at New England Medical Center, an academic medical center in Boston. He also held executive positions with Iowa Health System in Des Moines, UniHealth America in Los Angeles and Good Samaritan Hospital in Puyallup, Wash.
