Kris Gaw has been COO of Maricopa Integrated Health System since 2016. MIHS is Maricopa county's only public healthcare system and is one of the largest academic training programs for physicians and other healthcare professionals in the Phoenix area. The system includes Maricopa Medical Center; the Arizona Burn Center, one of the largest burn centers in the nation; a Level 1 trauma center; Arizona Children's Center, the system's pediatric emergency department; 13 family health centers; and two behavioral health facilities. Before joining the system in March 2016, Gaw was executive vice president and chief administrative officer of hospital operations for Parkland Health & Hospital System in Dallas.
